Liam in Emmerdale split pic

Liam has been through the wars in Emmerdale recently, but as he suffers yet another head injury, fans are concerned it could have serious consequences.

Following the limo crash, Liam Cavanagh has been attacked by both Ella and John. The doctor really is unlucky!

But could more bad luck be coming his way in the form a serious condition due to his head injuries? Fans fear so.

Does Liam have nine lives?

Back in February, due to a plan to propose to Chas Dingle, Liam found himself in the girls’ limo for their big night out. Unfortunately, that limo crashed.

During the crash, Liam banged his head – an injury that caused a change to his speech and behaviour. Liam managed to pull through, but it wasn’t long before his head took another knock. This time at the hands of Ella.

Desperate for Liam to believe that she didn’t drug Chas, Ella held Liam at knifepoint. She later ran off, with Liam giving chase. As Liam tried to calm Ella down, a tussle ensued and Liam fell to the ground, banging his head.

More recently, it was revealed that it was actually John who was responsible for Chas’s medication being swapped and he has been targeting Chas and Liam as part of his warped hero complex.

Last week, John attacked Liam with a log – though, it was a case of mistaken identity, as he had actually believed the man to be Mack. John quickly hid, but then returned to ‘save the day’ again.

While Liam was OK – again – fans are wondering how many head injuries Liam can cope with.

Fans concerned for Liam after another head injury

Taking to social media, fans have speculated if serious consequences could follow for Liam after yet another head injury.

“Realistically Liam being hit on his head could cause a brain bleed with serious consequences? Is this what the writers are leading up to?,” asked one fan on X.

“[Bleep], Liam will have no brains left at this rate… that’s the third bang to his head this year?,” added a second fan, with a third fan writing: “How has Liam not suffered any serious trauma after having so many head injuries?”

A fourth fan wrote: “How many times is Liam going to get a head injury on Emmerdale? He’s going to end up with brain damage soon!”

A fifth fan said: “Surely Liam should be having scans daily, the amount of times he has been hit on the head!!” While a sixth fan said: “Seriously, is Liam a cat because he’s got to be getting on for his 9th life already. Who survives 3 head injuries in so many months!”

Another fan added: “I feel an epilepsy storyline coming on.”
