Given the last time we saw Sadie in Emmerdale Cain double-crossed her and left her with nothing, it seems likely he’ll be top of her hit list when she returns. Watch out Emmerdale! Patsy Kensit is back at Sadie King in Emmerdale (Credit: ITV) Patsy Kensit returns to Emmerdale as Sadie King Emmerdale confirmed today (Thursday May 14) the rumours are true: Patsy Kensit is making a comeback to the Yorkshire Dales. Jimmy King‘s ex-wife first arrived in 2004 and departed in 2006. And boy did she cause trouble while she was there. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers Of her return, show producer Laura Shaw said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Patsy Kensit back to the cast and crucially to see the iconic Sadie King storm back into the village. “Her return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock. Sadie’s seductive demeanor, combined with her utterly ruthless nature, are set to deliver a spectacular and highly dramatic touch of class to the Yorkshire Dales.” Patsy is equally as thrilled about her comeback. She arrived in Emmerdale in 2004 shortly after the Kings first came to the village. Jimmy was desperate to start a family with his glamorous wife, but she wasn’t interested and was secretly taking contraception. When Jimmy found out, he asked for a divorce. Annoyed at the rejection, Sadie started a steamy affair with younger man Robert Sugden. She also began sleeping with Cain Dingle who she paid to seduce Charity so Charity wouldn’t marry Tom King. Charity then slept with Jimmy, recorded him admitting Sadie’s scheming and blew the King family apart. Sadie wormed her way back into Tom King Snr‘s affections by getting him Home Farm, but then she started an affair with Matthew King – Jimmy’s brother. When Jimmy found out, he told his dad who gave Matthew an ultimatum – the family business, or Sadie. He chose the business! Cain and Sadie set up a fake hostage situation, but he double-crossed her (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock) Sadie’s departure from Emmerdale Sadie and Matthew eventually got back together, but his scheming saw him disowned by the family. So Sadie paid Cain to sabotage the Kings’ River development show home. Her meddling saw an explosion rip through the house, killing Dawn Woods and two others. Matthew dumped Sadie and she wanted to get even. She and Cain plotted to kidnap Tom for ransom. Sadie posed as a hostage too. Cain appeared to shoot Sadie, which made the Kings cough up. But that was all part of the scam! She met Cain at a private airfield ready to make their getaway. But it was Cain who got away – taking all the money with him! Sadie left Emmerdale in disappointment. But now she’s back and after Cain’s betrayal, she might want to watch out! Are Graham and Sadie in cahoots? (Credit: ITV) Working with Graham? Many fans had already put the pieces together believing Sadie is working with Graham Foster to kill Kim Tate and take Home Farm. And now her return has been confirmed, could they be right? Many think so! “Sadie is in cahoots with Graham to kill Kim cos she wants Home Farm,” mused one on social media. Plenty more agreed. So maybe it’s not just Cain who needs to watch out! Inside the life of Patsy Kensit Sadie King was played by Cool Britannia icon Patsy Kensit. She was already a household name thanks to her time as a popstar and appearances in films including Lethal Weapon 2. Patsy joined Emmerdale as Sadie in 2004 until 2006. Patsy Kensit's other roles After she left, she played Faye Morton in Holby City. Then, in 2023, she played Emma Harding in EastEnders. Emma was the late Lola Pearce's mum who had abandoned her at birth. She came back when Lola was dying to reconnect, but struggled to handle it and left again. Not before she slept with Phil Mitchell, of course! In 2010, Patsy took part in Strictly Come Dancing. She was paired with Robin Windsor, and finished seventh. EastEnders star Kara Tointon won that series. Patsy has also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and Loose Women. Marriages The actress has been married four times and has two children. Her first marriage was to musician Dan Donovan. After their divorce she wed Simple Minds' lead singer Jim Kerr. They had a son, James, and then divorced in 1996. Patsy went on to have a high-profile romance with Oasis singer Liam Gallagher. They had son, Lennon in 1999. The couple divorced in 2000 following reports of his infidelity.
