
Classic Emmerdale preview: Eric’s shocked by the DNA results while Jo’s family reunion doesn’t go as planned
Jo’s not at all happy to see her estranged mum arrive in the village
Eric is shocked to find out he really is David’s father in Classic Emmerdale episodes airing on ITV3 on Thursday May 1. While elsewhere, Bob’s finally released from custody, and Katie makes an unwelcome discovery about Jo and Andy

He’s the daddy!
Crafty Eric manages to intercept the DNA results from the courier, but he can’t bring himself to open the envelope.
David can’t do it either, and Val soon loses patiences and tears open the envelope herself!
It turns out Eric actually is David’s father! He’s stunned, but David’s delighted and throws his arms round his new-found dad.
Bob’s free in Classic Emmerdale
Meanwhile at the police station, Barraclough points out that Bob’s story is full of holes. Bob’s adamant that he’s guilty and Jamie’s innocent but later he’s released from custody without being charged.
When he gets home, he shocks Jamie when he tells him he really thought he was the killer.

Classic Emmerdale: A family reunion for Jo
At Butler’s, Jo’s surprised to see her mum Jackie arrive. Jackie admits it was Katie who invited her, much to Jo’s annoyance.
Mum and daughter are quick to start bickering and it’s soon revealed to Katie that Jackie hadn’t turned up at Christmas. And that means Jo and Andy spent the day alone together instead.
Stung by Andy’s lies, Katie confronts him about his concern for Jo. He accuses her of inviting Jackie to the farm just to stir things up.
Meanwhile, Jackie’s still being scornful about Jo’s life and when Andy steps in, she defends herself. She tells him her side of the story and suggests that Jo’s been lying. Andy can’t decide who to believe.
Pearl’s on dog-sitting duty
Elsewhere, Pearl and Len are trying their hardest to coax Edna out of the house but it’s not working. Pearl comments that Tootsie must be missing her walks and for a moment it looks like she’s got through to Edna. But then Edna asks her to walk the dog instead.
Pearl reluctantly agrees but when she’s distracted by Betty, she manages to lose Tootsie in the village.
Gray and Diane hit the town!
Meanwhile, Gray lies to Perdy about going to a meeting with the Kings’ accountant and instead heads off for a night at the casino with Diane!
Emmerdale usually airs weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm, with an early release on ITVX at 7am.
