Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Tom's making enemies, Chas calls off the wedding and Grayson is betrayed

In Classic Emmerdale spoilers airing on ITV3 on Wednesday April 23, Tom’s making enemies all over the village as Carl finds out about what his dad’s done, and Grayson’s secret is revealed

The wedding’s off!

Carl comes home to find Chas has moved out. When he tracks her down, there’s another shock in store as he presents her with tickets to Las Vegas for their wedding. And Chas tells him the wedding’s off!

Seeing how hurt Carl is, Chas almost ends up revealing everything but instead she suggests they leave the village for good.

But Carl defends his family, and Chas realises the relationship is over.

Tom takes a chance in Classic Emmerdale

Ever the manipulator, Tom notices his son is feeling down and offers him the chance to take charge of the business, hoping to cheer him up.

Len’s fuming!

Elsewhere, Len is worried about Edna when he realises she’s not put up any Christmas decorations and seems increasingly isolated. Protective of his friend, he confronts Tom and tells him Edna’s solitude has been caused by Tom’s blackmail. The pair exchange some angry words.

Rosemary witnesses the altercation and suggests Tom smooth things over with Edna by inviting her to the wedding.

As they’re chatting, Tom mentions his concerns about Grayson and he’s surprised when Rosemary reveals her son is gay.

Viv gets some nasty surprises in Classic Emmerdale

Meanwhile Viv’s horrified to find out Jean’s run off with TJ and the compensation money! And when she finds out about the billboard arson, she’s suspicious that Bob was involved. He reassures her it’s all over now.

Later, Carl is stunned when Chas admits she worked with Jamie to expose the Kings’ part in the house collapse. The pair sadly admit that’s it for their relationship.

But when Carl finds out about the role Tom played in their break-up he’s furious. He confronts his dad, who tells him he and Chas wouldn’t have lasted anyway!

Fuming, Carl tells him to stick his offer of taking over the business. Meanwhile Jimmy overhears and he’s quick to tell Matthew about Tom’s offer leaving both of them annoyed at their dad’s betrayal.

Jamie’s enraged

Smug Tom tells Jamie that whoever burned the billboard saved them the job of taking it down. Jamie’s enraged and Bob tells him this has to end because it’s upsetting pregnant Viv. But is Jamie listening?

Len and Pearl help decorate Edna’s house for Christmas but when Len finds Tom’s wedding invitation on the mantelpiece he’s shocked Edna is considering attending. He blurts out his true feelings for Edna but she doesn’t react well!

Grayson’s upset

After helping Tom find the perfect wedding present for Rosemary, Grayson is hurt to her his future step-father joking about him to Charles Vaughan. As Tom insults Grayson about his secret, Grayson realises his mum must have betrayed his trust.
