What happened in Emmerdale last night (Tuesday): Caleb and Joe played each other, but Joe made a big mistake
Will Caleb discover the truth?
In Emmerdale last night, Tuesday, April 15, Caleb and Joe tried to play each other, but Joe made a potentially costly mistake.
Elsewhere, Aaron Dingle decided to take on his mum’s unwanted wedding date, but neither Chas or fiancé John were enthused by the news.
Here’s a recap of everything that happened in Emmerdale last night.

Joe and Caleb played each other
After Steph told Joe that they’re not related, Caleb and Ruby have been desperate to stop Joe sniffing around.
Caleb decided to invite Joe for lunch, with the intention of spinning him a yarn. Joe, meanwhile, also has his own reasons for wanting to get close to Caleb – he wants dirt.
Joe invited Noah to join him for lunch at the Miligans, suggesting he could be a distraction while Joe tries to find what he needs.
With both Caleb and Joe following the “keep your enemies close” motto, lunch was an awkward affair. Made worse when Joe enquired after Anthony’s whereabouts.
Steph escaped the table and went upstairs, while Ruby asked Joe to take out the rubbish. Knowing they needed to shut this line of questioning down, Caleb followed Joe outside.
Caleb told Joe that Anthony had been violent to Ruby when she was younger. This meant Ruby never wanted to be at home, so one night she slept with a guy she was staying with and got pregnant with Steph – thus explaining what Steph meant when she told Joe they weren’t related.
Caleb was sure Joe had brought his story, but Joe told Noah he wasn’t satisfied and needed more. Who will blink first in this battle?

Joe messed up in Emmerdale last night
Well it could well be Joe…
Throughout the episode, the camera focused on both Joe and Caleb taking medication following their respective surgeries.
At the end of the episode, Noah called Joe to invite him for a drink. Joe said yes but lied that he had to sort something out at work first.
As he starred at some of his medication laid out on the bed, he said: “There’s a couple of issues at work right now. Some things just don’t really make sense…. No I’ll get to the bottom of it. Just need to do a bit of digging so there’s no loose ends.”
The camera then panned to the Miligans’ house, where Caleb was taking some tablets. In the background was Joe’s coat, which he had left behind, with his kidney medication sticking out of the pocket. Could this be how Caleb discovers the truth?

Joe tried to get back in Dawn’s good books (and bed)
Dawn reiterated to Joe Tate that she loves Billy. Joe said he wants a life with her and he knows deep down that she wants the same thing. Judging by Dawn’s face, he’s right!
Joe continued to tease Dawn, telling her the longer she leaves it the harder it’ll be to tell Billy.
In another clue that Joe is right, Dawn snapped at Gabby about her desire to move out. When Gabby questioned why Dawn isn’t happy for her, Dawn said she was happy for her “as long as you’re not settling with Vinny”.
Dawn told Gabby not to just accept the safe option, but it was obvious that she was more talking to herself.

Aaron wants to marry John next month
Following the cancellation of her wedding to Liam, Chas struggled to get her deposit back from the registrar. Belle then informed her that Kim would not be refunding the deposit for the use of Home Farm either.
When Aaron suggested they just go through with the wedding rather than lose all the money, Chas said it would not be happening until they knew what was happening with Ella. “Her turning up on the big day is a scene I’d rather miss,” she said.
Later, Aaron suggested to his mum that he buy the wedding off her for him and John. Rather than be happy about getting her money back, Chas stated that she thought it was too early for Aaron and John to get married.
Aaron was not deterred though and went to tell John the happy news. But John took it even worse than Chas, as he exclaimed:”I don’t like not being consulted. And I especially don’t like being ambushed.”
Will the wedding go ahead? And will Aaron discover the secrets his fiancé is hiding?
