But it seems some fans dislike his character so much that they have warned his off-screen soap partner about his character. Away from Emmerdale, Oliver lives quite a private life with Eastenders star Samantha Womack. But it seems she has given an insight on what it’s like to be in a relationship with the big bad guy of the soap. The pair have been in a relationship for six years after meeting while co-starring on London’s West End production of The Girl on the Train. But they traded the UK for life in the sun as when they aren’t filming they’re living in their house in Spain. However, it seems Samantha can’t out-run warnings about Oliver. And that’s exactly what has happened with Emmerdale star Oliver Farnworth. His character, John Sugden is the one responsible for Nate’s death. And over the last lot of months has been causing near-death issues just so he can fix it – with many fans convinced he has Hero Syndrome. article continues below Read all the latest spoilers While fans are desperate to get him off their screens, taking to social media every night to urge their favourite characters to see him for what he really is, it seem some fans are even doing it in person. Speaking to The Sun, as reported in Birmingham Live, Samantha Womack revealed she often gets stopped on the street for fans to warn her about Oliver’s character. She revealed: “I do often get warned about his character.” Along with the warnings, fans also ask her what’s going to happen to John Sugden. But it seems she can’t actually answer it – as she has no clue. So, to ensure John’s ending stays hidden, Oliver doesn’t even tell Samantha. She told the outlet: “Oli is actually so strict about confidentiality. So he comes back every few days, and he won’t tell me what’s happening. “He’s like ‘I just can’t let you know’ and I’ll say ‘Come on, I’m not going to tell anyone’.” But just like John, Oliver seems good at keeping things hidden. Despite Oliver Farnworth playing a huge villain on Emmerdale, Samantha believes it may actually be his “favourite” character to play. Samantha explained she had “been to the set” and found the whole village “beautiful”. So it seems Oliver is under orders to keep the John storyline a secret – so it must be worth the wait then!
