Emmerdale spoilers for this week – the biggest plots including John’s mistake, Cain’s drastic move and Sarah’s baby battle
John has got some tidying up to do if he wants to keep his secrets
Emmerdale spoilers for this week see Cain decide there’s only one way to sort the Nate situation out – go and find him. It comes after John accidentally answers Nate’s phone. Big mistake. Huge.
Meanwhile, Sarah has decided she wants a baby, and Steph’s true struggle comes to light in an explosive outburst.
Here’s what to watch out for in this week’s Emmerdale – April 28 to May 2.
1. Cain wants answers over Nate when John messes up in Emmerdale spoilers
Finally someone is going to do something other than call Nate! Cain is upset to realise it’s Nate’s birthday and Frankie doesn’t even know where to send her dad a card. He calls his son and leaves yet another voicemail.
When John is listening to the message Cain calls again and John accidentally answers it. Quickly hanging up, John realises he has yet another fire to put out.
But the mistake has bouyed Cain up, who is now determined to track down his son. He visits Tracy and is once again furious at Nate for abandoning his wife and child so decides he is going to Shetland to have it out with Nate.
John is nervous when he finds out, but will he be able to stop Cain? It’s only a matter of time before this secret comes out…
2. Sarah’s baby battle
After endings things with Jacob and being dumped by Kammy, Sarah comes to a realisation: she doesn’t need a man at all. Hooray!
Instead she tells Vanessa she wants a baby. Ah.
Vanessa is concerned, but Sarah is full-steam ahead with her plans for IVF. Manpreet also tries to discourage Sarah by discussing her condition and talking about the likelihood she’s not suitable for IVF.
Unable to accept reality, Sarah gets in touch with some clinics to see if she is eligible. Charity, meanwhile, is non-the-wiser, but will Sarah open up to her gran about her plans?
3. Steph in devastating move in Emmerdale spoilers for this week
Steph seems to be more upbeat and positive, but Caleb and Ruby have no idea it’s thanks to an appointment with her surgeon. She then reveals she’s going on holiday suddenly and Caleb is more than a little suspicious.
He traces the flight number and finds out it’s bogus. He then comes across her emails from the plastic surgery clinic and realises what’s going on. Caleb and Ruby race to stop her just as the preparations are being made for her surgery.
Steph insists they won’t talk her out of it, but can Caleb and Ruby get through to their daughter?
4. Ross left heartbroken
Steph is soon in full meltdown and Ross arrives to help. He is distraught at the extent of her pain. She explains how she feels and he tries to be there for her. But she soon snaps and lashes out at him.
As she hurls abuse at him, Ross just takes it. When Steph snaps out of it, she is full of guilt. Grabbing a bottle of vodka she flees into the night, leaving Ross devastated at how low she is feeling.

Chas and Liam are annoyed when Ella has an alibi for Liam’s attack. Sarah thinks Vanessa should make up with Mary, and Gail comes up with a theme night idea for the Woolpack.
Elsewhere, Evan is taken to hospital and Billy feels guilty. Dawn reassures him it’s not his fault, but is her kindness giving him false hope about their relationship?
