Cain and Joe both had motives

Kim Tate was poisoned in Emmerdale tonight. And spoilers confirm that it’s Cain and Joe who face the most suspicion in the coming days.

Following Sunday night’s cliffhanger, Emmerdale aired a shocking poison scandal for Kim Tate, while she tried to make peace with the Dingle clan.

After Joe’s horrific move of destroying Holly’s memorial, Kim knew she had to make an effort to put things right. But, once the rest of the Dingles worked out she had left Home Farm to Lydia, it was only a matter of time before someone tried to kill her.

Kim Tate was poisoned

Each member of the family had their own motive, and their own way to poison Kim tonight. Sam foraged for the mushrooms in the location Cain told him to, Caleb refused to let anyone other than Kim drink from his bottle of red wine, and Chas gave her a very specific plate for pie.

Despite all of this, early viewers of the episode believed Lydia could be the real culprit, as the others are too obvious. And she was the one serving up the dinner.

During their peace talks, it was very clear that the Dingles and the Tates will never see eye-to-eye. But Kim was really trying her hardest to put things right. And eventually, things seemed to be going in a decent direction.

But as Kim decided to give a toast, she doubled over in pain, before collapsing into Lydia’s arms – much to nobody’s concern. The only two people in the room that seemed concerned about Kim’s wellbeing was Lydia and Liam, everyone else, started to get suspicious.

When Graham and Gabby got the call that she had been rushed to hospital, they weren’t too surprised, having warned Kim about the dangers earlier.

However, back at the house, all of the Dingle clan were starting to point finger at each other. And at the very end of the episode, Cain looked extremely suspicious. So, it’s not really surprising that he soon faces a lot of questions.

Emmerdale spoilers show all eyes are on Cain and Joe

In Emmerdale spoilers for later this week, the mushroom poisoning drama continues. Everyone is determined to figure out exactly who was the one to make a move against Kim.

When Graham reveals to the Dingles that Kim was poisoned by the mushrooms, all eyes initially fall on Sam. But it isn’t long before he reveals that it was Cain who told him where to forage.

Cain is angry at his betrayal. And he faces a lot of suspicion from the family, after Sam suggests he did try to kill Kim on purpose.

However, at the hospital, Kim is awake, and she is surprised to see Joe at her bedside so quickly. And after he tells her how scared he was, she accuses him of having crocodile tears over the poisoning. That’s not all, as she even suggests he could’ve been the one behind it.

Appalled and shocked at her accusations (is it that shocking, Joe?), he tries to assure her that he had absolutely nothing to do with it.

With Cain and Joe looking like the most guilty people, are they just red herrings? And if so, who really poisoned Kim?
