MOTD Live: FIFA World Cup 2018
Nigeria v Iceland Nigeria v Iceland (Kick-off 4.00pm). Mark Chapman presents coverage of the match at the Volgograd Arena, where the teams play their second match of Group D. Nigeria lost their opening fixture against Croatia on Saturday, so they will know they need to get something out of this game, or they will be eliminated. By contrast, Iceland started well, drawing 1-1 with two-time champions Argentina in their first-ever World Cup finals match. Having only registered one victory at their last three World Cups combined, Nigeria will look to improve on that record and utilise their greater tournament experience against the debutantes. Figures such as Jon Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and Ahmed Musa, all of whom will be familiar to fans of the Premier League, could prove crucial to their country's hopes of progressing to the knockout stage. Iceland boast few household names among their ranks, if any, but that didn't stop them from creating headlines around Europe at Euro 2016 when they made it as far as the quarter-finals, as they grew into the competition after initially starting off slowly with draws against Portugal and Hungary. Having faced Argentina in their opening fixture, it is expected that the outcome of this match will go a long way to determining whether they head into their final contest against Croatia with an opportunity to write another enthralling chapter in their nation's history. With commentary by Guy Mowbray and Martin Keown, and analysis by Jermaine Jenas, Danny Murphy and Didier Drogba

England v Panama England v Panama (Kick-off 1.00pm). Gary Lineker presents coverage of both sides' second Group G match, taking place at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Russia. Gareth Southgate's men come into this fixture following a last-gasp 2-1 win over Tunisia on Monday, with captain Harry Kane proving to be his country's hero with both goals. Tournament debutants Panama did well to hold Belgium in the first half of their opener, but Roberto Martinez's side proved too strong in the second half and eventually ran out 3-0 victors. England will be looking to make it out of the group stages of the World Cup for the first time since 2010 after their poor performance at the tournament four years ago. The Three Lions drew one and lost two fixtures in 2014, failing to win a game in a group that also featured Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica. Recently announced captain Harry Kane will lead his side out in his first-ever World Cup and will be expected to provide the goals that England have desperately needed in the group stages in the past, with the Three Lions only scoring 11 goals in 12 group matches since the turn of the century. They'll be facing opponents who are playing in their first-ever World Cup, with Panama progressing after finishing third in the CONCACAF qualifying group. They finished above the likes of the USA and Trinidad & Tobago, with the President of Panama declaring a national holiday after they made it through to the finals. With analysis from Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand, and commentary by Guy Mowbray and Danny Murphy

Spain v Morocco Spain v Morocco (Kick-off 7.00pm). Gary Lineker presents coverage of the match at Kaliningrad Stadium, where the teams contest their concluding Group B clash. Fernando Hierro's side know that a win will definitely see them progress to the last 16, following their thrilling 3-3 tie with Portugal and 1-0 victory over Iran. Morocco are playing for pride only, having lost both of their opening fixtures, but if they can pull off a shock victory it could place Spain's chances of reaching the knockout phase in serious jeopardy, especially if Iran defeat Portugal in the group's other fixture. In addition to having never met each other at a World Cup before, these nations also have contrasting records, with Morocco only ever having won two games in their five appearances, whereas Spain won six matches in 2010 alone when they lifted the trophy in South Africa. They did not fare so well in Brazil four years ago when they were eliminated at the group stage following losses in their opening two games, and will be keen to improve on that performance. Meanwhile, Morocco will look to take confidence from the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, when they progressed to the knockout stage, before succumbing to eventual runners-up Egypt in the quarter-finals. Many of the players in the Spanish squad will be familiar to football fans, and while their opponents tonight cannot boast any star names, many of their individuals have experience of club football in Europe, including regular captain Medhi Benatia of Juventus, and Nordin Amrabat, who has appeared for Watford and Galatasaray. With analysis from Cesc Fabregas, Didier Drogba and Alan Shearer, and commentary by Steve Wilson and Martin Keown
