4th series
Episode 1 of the new series was nice. Starts in 1922. Some people whom are born in 1922 are still alive now in 2013. What a different time they grew up in!!!

Disappointed
Couldn`t wait for the christmas episode, felt the story line was depressing. Hoping the writer(s) can make an improvement.

At last, something worth watching.
Watched it last night even though I had to be up early & even though I had it on record. just couldn't wait. Best thing on the box at the moment bar none!!

Brilliant
Saw the first episode last night. Absolutely brilliant. The addition of Shirley McLaine to the cast completes the perfect drama. The only downsaide is all the ad breaks. Record each episode and start watching the recording about 20 minutes into the transmission. This way you can whizz through the ads and enjoy the programme even more.

Dallas, Dynasty and Downton
I don't think the British make soap operas as well as Americans. Downton recyles the age old plots we've already seen on Dallas and Dynasty.
