TV how it should be We did not know it at the time, but this is top quality television. Great writing, no PC b/s, believable and well acted.

The Sweeney - all time classic series His role in the Sweeney is considered to be John Thaw's greatest work. This helped in no small part to create an all time classic series, that will allways stand the test of time. TV-Eye12:30pm Sun 2 Jan
the top show of its time the cops hated this series, because it was too near to the truth, the police were corrupt, susspects were beaten up in the cells, (he fell on his way to the cells judge ). the acting is a bit wooden by todays standards, but hey, this is still the top cop show. get real.10:54am Sun 19 Dec
Sweeny vs Hill st Blues HSB started three years after Sweeney left the screens. The Sweeney only had three series and had errrrrrm 2.5 main actors and a budget of £57 an epoisode. Of course it was better. However HSB was quite entertaining. Colin7:05pm Tue 30 Nov
